Dyno Break In

KING MOTORPORTS DYNO BREAK IN
Almost all King-built engines get broken in on our dyno and tuned here to produce peak WHP. If the customer's car is not available, we have project vehicles equipped to allow installation of any D, B, H or K series. This allows for drop-in installation for the customer - no matter where the engine is shipped to.  (We ship engines worldwide.) The intake tube length is tuned on the dyno and sent out to match the rest of the build along with the ECU/tuning solution. These engines usually incorporate King Motorsports ported intake manifolds and big throttle bodies. We use the lightest rods possible. Cylinder heads are flow balanced and the engine is CC’d to hit the exact compression the build is set up for.

Dyno Day / Group Session

Car Clubs or Groups - contact us for dyno availability… King is the perfect spot for a dyno day or group session. Complimentary printouts as well as Video and Photos of the runs are included.

- 2WD (3-5 Pulls) 8-10 vehicles $70 ea.
- 2WD (3-5 Pulls) 10-15 vehicles $60 ea.

Baseline Session

Good Bang for your Buck!! Three to five consecutive runs to establish a baseline for horsepower & torque. The service also includes up to one hour of skilled labor for minor adjustments and complimentary printouts of the runs.

- 2WD (3-5 Pulls) $90

Hour-by-Hour Session

Value is what you make it. We will step aside and let you manage the workflow… our only role is to appropriate the vehicle and dyno. Number of runs is determined by the proficiency of the tuner and condition of the vehicle. This service includes up to one hour of skilled labor (for minor adjustments) and complimentary printouts of the dyno runs.

King Motorsports Tune

Let the Pros take care of it… We will tune your car using the full capabilities of our shop, equipment most importantly, our tuning expert's knowledge and experience. In the end, this will save you time, headaches, and frustration. King Motorsports is the premiere tuning experience in the Midwest. Service includes the use of a shop Wide Band, Laptop, and KMS Technician. You will receive complimentary base and final run printouts.

King Motorsports Re-Tune

Re-tunes are only available to repeat customers that have already had their vehicle tuned by King Motorsports and are using the same system the vehicle was tuned on prior. Most of the re-tunes we perform take less than two hours.

- 2WD N/A B, C, D, E, F, H, and J Series Engines $150 hr.
- 2WD N/A K Series Engines $ 150 hr.
- 2WD Forced Induction Engines $150 hr.

King Motorsports Race Gas Tune

Race Gas Tunes are available as a primary tune or as a secondary tune. If it is your primary tune; simply apply the “King Motorsports Tune” formula from above. If you are adding a race gas tune to a primary tune, we will gladly cut you a break. Either way, we need to know your needs prior to that actual appointment.

King Motorsports Engine Break-In

Engine Break-in is not a “tune”. The Dynojet 224xLC can perform load tests including step, sweep and loaded roll-on as well as closed-loop load testing by targeting engine RPM, speed or percentage of load. We will vary the load while under partial throttle and/or boost conditions to seat the rings while keeping air/fuel ratios at optimal levels. Several compression and leak down tests are preformed during the course of the break-in to ensure that the rings are seating properly.
