AEM's Plug & Play Engine Management System (EMS) are for racing
vehicles and plug directly into a vehicle's factory ECU harness and
requires no additional wiring or hardware. Windows™ compatible software
(2000, XP, NT, 98, 95, ME) makes the task of copying, viewing and
manipulating data as simple as a click of the mouse. An integrated
tuning wizard allows users to create a base map specifically for a
car’s configuration, regardless of what type of injectors, sensors,

AEM’s Universal Programmable Engine Management System adapts to any
race vehicle using the company’s flying lead wiring harness and sensors
(sold separately). In addition to the features found in our Plug &
Play EMS, AEM’s Universal EMS also includes 10 independent, built-in
peak & hold injector driver channels, direct drive ignition and
dual wideband UEGO controllers. Peak & Hold injector drivers enable
users to utilize low impedance injectors with a true 4/1 Peak &
Hold injector drive circuit. The Direct Drive ignition feature allows
users to drive a coil directly from the ECU without the need for an
igniter or ignition module, and a wideband UEGO controller is an
essential tuning tool that provides a 0-5 signal for monitoring and

AEM FIC (Fuel-Ignition Controller)
The F/IC gives users with OBD-II race vehicles and non-factory
forced induction systems the ability to retard ignition and deliver
accurate amounts of fuel without the need for outdated FMUs or “boost
hiding” controllers. This system works parallel to the factory ECU
preventing tuning limitations due to complex factory timing patterns.
21x17 maps with configurable load and RPM breakpoints are easily
accessed with the F/IC's Windows-based tuning software. The F/IC draws
power from PC USB interface for quick and easy calibration changes.
PRECISE FUEL DELIVERY
The F/IC intercepts the signal to the stock injectors, allowing the
user to modify pulse-width by +/-100%. The F/IC is the only piggy-back
system that can decrease injector pulse-width, allowing the user to
drive larger aftermarket injectors* while still maintaining proper air
/ fuel ratios. This powerful system can also tap into the factory
injector signal and work independently to drive up to six (6)
additional injectors.
TIMING RETARD CONTROL
The F/IC has the ability to retard timing by intercepting and delaying
the outputs from the cam and crank position sensors to the engine- with
no adverse affect on applications equipped with variable cam timing.
The F/IC can retard timing from the factory system based on engine RPM
and load inputs.
SENSOR CALIBRATION & CONTROL
The F/IC can also be used to recalibrate / clamp the MAF sensor,
eliminating common problems with non-boosted factory MAFs. The on-board
MAP sensor allows for proper fueling in boosted conditions.
CAN-BUS SYSTEMS NOT AFFECTED
Since
the F/IC works in conjunction with the factory ECU, late model-vehicles
equipped with a CAN-BUS system retain functionality of climate
controls, dash and other components on the network.

AEM Serial Datastream Gauge
AEM’s Serial Gauge plugs into the company’s Programmable EMS and has
the ability to read 19 channels simultaneously to provide reference for
all outputs, including boost, AFR, EGT, H2O, IAT, knock, volts, RPM,
vehicle speed, and more! Since it can read all channels at once, AEM’s
Serial Gauge eliminates the need to buy a cluster of gauges, or you can
link multiple Serial Gauges together to monitor additional channels or
to divide your readouts across a few gauges.
The Serial Gauge includes a user-selectable LED display allowing users
to set vehicle specific limits, warnings, display ranges and operating
ranges. This unit runs the standard EMS datastream by default, and
includes 12 preset channels and seven user-selectable channels that are
custom-configurable through the PC interface, allowing you to monitor
practically anything attached to a sensor. AEM’s Serial Gauge includes
user-programmable MIN/MAX storage for EVERY channel and records MIN/MAX
values even if you are not using the function—if it’s in the stream the
gauge records it. Red, yellow and green LEDs and the center three-digit
display are fully user-programmable as well, making this a truly custom
configurable unit. Users can set alarms for each channel so that when
the signal exceeds a value the Gauge notifies you by flashing all LEDs
and switching to the channel where the value was exceeded.
User-selectable qualifiers eliminate false warning lights, and the unit
includes two outputs to trigger ancillary warning lights based on user
selectable conditions. The Serial Gauge also includes user-selectable
alarm priority in the event multiple alarms sound, allowing you to set
alarm readouts in your order of priority.
AEM’s Serial Gauge includes interchangeable silver and black
bezels and pin guides, and black and white faces for a customizable
look. Quick-Connect technology allows you to install the gauge and
connect the wiring separately for easy installation and less chance of
damage to the circuit board. The Serial Gauge includes a harness,
wiring to connect to the EMS, a daisy-chain adapter for linking
multiple gauges to one EMS and software for a trouble-free installation.

Buddy Club e-Throttle Booster
Utilizing the latest microprocessor technology,
the e-Throttle Booster modifies the signal between accelerator pedal,
ECU, and throttle body to boost or cut the angle of the throttle plate
in relation to its stock settings. The e-Throttle Booster allows for
12-steps of adjustment and 31 levels of total adjustment throughout the
range of the throttle position sensor, allowing for precision changes
according to driver preference. At low ranges, it reduces the perceived
effect of “throttle lag” – the amount of time that occurs between when
the accelerator is pressed and when the engine responds. At the upper
RPM ranges, the increased sensitivity makes it easier to perform racing
techniques like the heel-toe shift. Each unit comes with an
application specific wiring harness for quick installation.
Since it is adjustable, the driver can change preferences “on the
fly” or leave them set up for track or off-road preference. E-Throttle
Booster also utilizes an “Economy” Mode that allows the driver to
de-tune throttle response for the most fuel economy with the least
amount of driver effort. This new idea is now being implemented as
optional equipment on late model vehicles, and may soon be an available
feature on all new electronic throttle cars. The increase in fuel
savings will more than pay for the unit itself in a short amount of
time. Conversely, dual-purpose vehicles that see highway time in
addition to serving weekend warrior duty can now implement an
additional level of automatic control and fine-tuning that’s never been
available before. A quick flick of the knob is all it takes to maximize
your throttle effort. Like the short throw shifters that came before
them, the e-Throttle Booster incorporates technology and an revised
driving experience that will have you hooked once you try it. You may
never have to “push the pedal to the metal” to achieve the wide-open
throttle response that you need during spirited driving maneuvers.
Electronic throttle or drive-by-wire throttle systems utilize a
sensor incorporated into the vehicle’s main Engine Control Unit (ECU)
to translate your mechanical pedal effort into electronically modulated
opening and closing of the throttle plate in the throttle body. From
the factory, the ratio of pedal movement to throttle plate opening is
governed by the ECU and is meant to provide the most reasonable
compromise between pedal sensitivity and throttle plate movement. The
e-Throttle Booster acts as a modifier of that signal, allowing you to
increase or decrease the ratio at will, fine tuning the pedal actuation
experience to the driving task at hand. With its fast microprocessors,
the e-Throttle Booster can virtually eliminate the perceived lag
between pedal and throttle plate; it also has the capability to modify
the total angle opening of the throttle plate in real time, allowing
more air (and therefore, more power production ability) into the engine
intake tract. Because of the method used to intercept and modify the
signal, as well as the point in the ECU system where the signal is
modified, the e-Throttle Booster will not be detected by the car’s
OBDII system; therefore, the factory ECU cannot “override” your
settings, nor will the e-Throttle Booster cause Diagnostic Trouble
Codes.

How does the FlashPro compare to KPro Dual adapter?
The KPro Dual Adapter for the S2000 has the advantages of boost control by gear & RPM and nitrous control. It has the disadvantage that cruise control does not work.
Not all features implemented in KPro are possible with FlashPro. We intend to develop features such as nitrous control as time permits.

This is a specially adapted ECU which allows the 2000-2005 S2000 to run from a RSX ECU. The engine crank and cam sensors must be changed to equivalent 2006-2007 parts - see below.
The S2000 KPro includes a new or user supplied RSX (PRB) ECU adapted for the S2000, and a wiring harness for the crank and cam sensors. It does not include the Honda parts - see Mechanical Modifications below. All user supplied ecu's must be PRB A01-A12 and in perfect working order. We will not use any other ecu's for the S2000.

The following items must be replaced before the S2000 K-Pro can be used. These parts are not supplied by Hondata and should be purchased from a Honda dealer.
Swapping the parts is relatively straight forward. Refer to the Helm manual for more information, but in brief you will need to:
-Remove the accessory belt. -Remove the water pump pulley. -Remove the crank pulley. -Remove the front timing cover. -Remove and replace the crank timing wheel. -Remove and replace the crank sensor in the timing cover, and reinstall the timing cover. -Remove old wiring to crank sensor. -Install wiring harness from crank sensor to ECU. -Reinstall water pump pulley and accessory belt. -Remove the valve cover. -Remove and replace the TDC sensor wheel (exhaust cam). -Install the new TDC sensor and PCV valve in the new timing cover, and install the new valve cover. -Remove S2000 ECU. Install the wiring harness through the firewall underneath the clutch master cylinder.
If you have cut the wiring rubber boot, seal it with silicone sealer. -Install the RSX ECU.
