Held this past Saturday, our Dyno Day BBQ was a great success.

Building on the previous two events, we added networked video racing games (courtesy of GameStop), complete with real racing seats for the gamers.

Also in attendance were Mr. Akihiro Kojima and Mr. Noriaki Onuma, both from Mugen. These two gentlemen flew in from Japan just to attend our event. They announced the new Mugen Brake System for the 8th Gen Civic and RSX, and also circulated through the crowd, taking questions and talking with attendees.

In addtion, awards were given out in four categories.

A catered BBQ meal was provided by Silver Spur BBQ and DJ Macabre was spinning all day.

Our concern with impending rain was unfounded, as the weather cooperated and the sky stayed dry.

With a record number of pre-registrations, the reserve parking filled up quickly. In addition, we had a large number of late-morning/early-afternoon arrivals, making for a well-attended event.

As always, the vendor swag raffle was a hit with the attendees, with plenty auctioned off, including $100, $200 and $300 gift certificates from Blox and King.

King Motorsports President and CEO Scott Zellner: "What a great event! We are extremely pleased with the turnout and the positive feedback we received. We spend a lot of time and effort each year to make this a great event, and I think we've succeeded once again."

Scott and everyone at King would like to thank all of the volunteers who help make this event possible, as well as all of the vendors who contributed raffle items. In addition, thanks to Akihiro and Noriaki for making the long trip from Japan.

Lastly, a big thanks to all of the attendees. We hope you enjoyed the event as much as we enjoyed putting it on for you.
