Intake Manifold Coolant Bypass

Cooler intake temperatures equal more power. A cooler air/fuel charge results in a more dynamic, efficient combustion.

From the factory, Honda B-Series are configured with a water port on the cylinder head that feeds a coolant passage on the intake manifold. By cutting the passage entrance off of the intake manifold flange, welding it shut, and welding a water fitting onto the head, this passage is bypassed. Without the hot coolant flowing through it, the intake will run substantially cooler.

Combining this bypass with a Hondata intake manifold gasket is a great way to achieve the absolute lowest intake temps!

Head and intake manifold must be disassembled and clean.
