Skunk2 Pro 3+ Series Camshaft Set - H22 VTEC

Skunk2 Pro Series camshafts represent the latest design thought and manufacturing techniques. The goal of these camshafts is to maximize the usable power band for street, strip and race applications. They prduce impressive gains below 5000rpm and specially engineered lobe timing ensures a seamless VTEC transition when using programable engine management systems. The camshaft blanks are cast from the same foundries used by auto manufacturers such as Toyota, Nissan, Honda, and Mitsubishi, and utilize the latest in Japanese chill-casting technology. Skunk2 Racing camshafts are ground to exact specifications using CNC cam grinding machines and are subjected to hours of performance and durability testing. Skunk2 Racing camshafts must pass stringent quality control standards that exceed OE requirements.

 

Skunk2 Pro Series cams should be used with Skunk2 or Toda valve springs.

 

Pro 1+: This grind is probably the best all around street cam available for a Honda engine. They work well on standard and high compression platforms from 1.6 up to 2.0+ displacement. Depending on header design and intake manifold volume usually you will find these cams will make power to about 8200rpm.

 

Pro 2+: This is hybrid design taking the larger non-VTEC lobe and combining with a VTEC lobe that is very similar to the ever popular Skunk2 Stage II. The result is a wide powerband that can produce usable power beyond 8500rpm.

 

Pro 3+: This is the most agressive cam in the Skunk2 line-up. It uses the same non-VTEC lobe as the Pro 1/2 and combines it with a massive VTEC lobe. These cams should only be used in a race motor and installed by a trained engine building professional.
